OEKO-TEX®
At SKHOOP, we design our garments for people who love the outdoors—because we do too. Whether we’re skiing, hiking, dog walking, or simply soaking up fresh air and sunshine, our passion for nature fuels everything we create. And with that love comes a responsibility: to protect the places we love and reduce our impact on the planet.
That’s why we’ve taken a big step forward in our sustainability journey by pursuing the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification for many of our garments.
But what exactly does that mean?
What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world’s best-known certifications for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets strict limits on the use of over 1,000 chemicals that could be harmful to human health or the environment—including substances that aren't even legally regulated yet.
When a product is certified, every single component—from the outer fabric to the inner lining, down to the zippers, snaps, and threads—has been rigorously tested and approved as safe.
In short, it’s a globally recognized sign of transparency, trust, and cleaner production.
What it means for you...
When you see the STANDARD 100 label on a SKHOOP garment, you can feel confident knowing:
•It’s been tested for harmful chemicals.
•It’s safe for your skin, your body, and your home.
•It reflects our ongoing commitment to safer and more responsible products.
We know that our customers care about the quality and safety of what they wear—and this certification is one way we’re making it easier for you to shop with peace of mind.
What it means for the planet...
The STANDARD 100 certification process also supports more environmentally responsible textile production:
•It encourages cleaner manufacturing practices.
•It helps eliminate harmful substances from the supply chain.
•It raises the bar for suppliers and manufacturers worldwide.
For us, it's about reducing our environmental footprint while pushing the industry forward—because loving the outdoors means doing our part to protect it, not just for today, but for future generations.
A step, not the finish line
We’re proud of this milestone, but we know the work doesn’t stop here. Sustainability is a journey, and we’re always looking for ways to do better—for the planet, for you, and for the outdoor spaces we all treasure.
Thanks for being on this journey with us. 🌿
