SKHOOP gets certified to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®

We are happy to announce that our collection has received the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificate for over 95% of our product line. OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. We are extremely proud of this designation and will of course strive to get the certificate on the complete collection for the coming seasons.

Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a worldwide, independent testing and certification system that assures that no harmful chemicals or toxins were used from fiber to finished garment. An OEKO-TEX® certification allows consumers to be confident that every component of a garment that carries the Standard 100 label has been rigorously tested for over 100 harmful substances, this includes thread, fabric, buttons and linings.

Since our founding in 1999, we have made a conscious and dedicated effort towards creating an environment that is kinder to the earth and its inhabitants. Our Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification is the result of several years of hard work and it inspires us to continue down this path to ensure that our company continues to adhere to the strictest environmental and sustainability standards in the industry.

What is OEKO-TEX®?

1. STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® testing and certification is performed exclusively by independent testing institutes of the OEKO-TEX® Association. The test criteria are globally standardized and are updated at least once a year on the basis of new scientific information or statutory requirements.

2. OEKO-TEX® is intended for all types of textiles that have been tested for harmful substances, from yarn to the finished product.

3. With the unique number on the label, you can verify the validity of the certification and the certificates that have been tested for harmful substances by visiting the OEKO-TEX® website HERE.

Why OEKO-TEX®?

For consumers: STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification ensures that the products that have the OEKO-TEX® logo with SKHOOP's unique number (SE 20-245) have been tested to ensure that no harmful substances have been found in any of the components of the garment; everything from fabric, zippers, sewing thread, insulation, buttons, etc. Everything has been verified and approved.

For nature: OEKO-TEX® certification confirms that all components in the garments have been tested so that no harmful substances are present.  We are committed to protecting the land that we love,  and our STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification helps us to ensure that we are minimizing our environmental footprint. We only have one planet and we value it enormously, so let's all work together to protect it!

For retail: OEKO-TEX® assures that you are selling durable, non-harmful products in your store. The seal that each garment must have that is certified is proof that the garment's components have been tested and approved in accordance with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.
