SKHOOP’s Original Skirt is where it all started. One extremely cold winter morning in 1999, SKHOOP's founder Sissi Kewenter was about to take her dog for a walk in Åre, Sweden. Putting on traditional snow pants seemed like a nuisance at the time, but the further away from her house that they walked, the colder she got. As she began to freeze, Sissi started creatively developing the first insulated cover skirt as she raced back home where the Original Skirt was born.
The Original Skirt is the perfect warm accessory for those cold winter days, a perfect layer for long dog walks or just waiting for the bus.

I LOVE this skirt!!!!! It's exaclty what I was looking for...long, comfortable, does not collect dog hair... the long side zippers are great....wish one of them opened all the way sch that the skirt could also be used as a blanket...but not a must lol...you will wear this skirt EVERYWHERE! I've had it on post downhill skiing...or around town with tights or long winter underwear. I wear it in my house since it is badly insulated and cold. This skirt is soooo comfortable and looks decent too! Perfect!!!

The product is amazing, excellent quality, speedy delivery, I love the double zippers this way I can snowmobile easily with zippers up and once off my sled I can pull the zippers down and still stay modest. I have this skirt in two sizes one to fit over a snowmobile suit and one that fits perfectly. LOVE THIS SKIRT!!

This is the first Skhoop skirt I purchased and loved it so much, I picked-up a shorter version soon after. I love that I can wear it over my regular clothing for an additional layer of warmth without having to remove shoes to put it on. I specifically searched for a skirt like this because I was tired of wearing snow pants through the winter and wanted to be able to wear more feminine skirts. I either wear it solo with fleece lined leggings or over another skirt or dress for when we go to church. It zips off quickly once we have arrived. We do not own a car and bicycle year round in snowy NW Montana and this skirt has been perfect for that activity, as well as snowshoeing and hiking. I am always receiving complements on it when I am out and about in town. ♥️ PS. Would really like to see a "rain" version of this for the spring. :-)
